Adams has developed into a two-way player

The Yankees drafted second baseman David Adams in the third round of the 2008 MLB Draft out of the University of Virginia. He entered the professional ranks still tinkering with various swings and still getting accustomed to second base, and he arguably made the biggest leap of any Yankees prospect with a breakout 2009 campaign.
