Heredia has posted a 2.00 ERA as a reliever

It has been a season of changes for Jairo Heredia. The 20-year-old began the season in high-A ball with the Tampa Yankees. In May, he was added to the Charleston RiverDog roster. He then switched hats once again, going from starting pitcher to the bullpen.

In the past 18 innings, including two more on Monday night, Heredia's role has been as a reliever. His velocity is down a bit from where it was before. He is now pitching in the mid to upper 80's, but occasionally touches 90 mph mark. With the RiverDogs this season, Heredia has compiled an ERA of 3.74 in 65 innings pitched.
