Staten Island Yankees Season In Review

The Staten Island Yankees had a disappointing season in 2014, finishing the year in third place in their division with a 37-38 record, eight and half games out of first place, which was their second straight sub-.500 season. We take a look at where was the team's greatest depth, which prospects stood out, which ones could be 'sleeper' prospects down the road, and more.

Enns Moving Fairly Quickly

Enns Moving Fairly Quickly

Left-hander Dietrich Enns was in the midst of a fantastic season with the high-A Tampa Yankees this past year, posting a tiny 1.42 ERA through his first 13 appearances and striking out a batter per inning pitched, before succumbing to Tommy John surgery in early June. He's been rehabbing his way back and things are moving fairly quickly for him as he reached a milestone this past week.

Yankees 2014 IFA Class: First Impressions

The Yankees spent a record amount of money on this year's International free agent class and many of them got their first taste of baseball in the United States at Instructs, including, but not limited to, Dermis Garcia, Alexander Vargas, Hoy Jun Park, Miguel Flames, and others. Here are the first impressions as they get set for their debut seasons in 2015.

BRADENTON, FL - The Yankees unleashed a high octane offense against the Pirates in Instructional League action on Thursday, powered by Miguel Andujar in particular, en route to a 9-3 victory that also showcased some impressive pitching performances as well.

Banuelos Still On Track

Banuelos Still On Track

TAMPA, FL - Despite pitching quite well in his first year back from Tommy John surgery, some have said it was a disappointing year for Manny Banuelos, including even a part of himself. But considering he finished the year healthy and pitched the whole season, even making his last outing at Instructs on Wednesday, he can't help but believe he's still on track to make a big league splash someday.

YMLN - De Oleo In The Clutch

CLEARWATER, FL - The Yankees were two outs away from falling to the Phillies in Instructional League action on Tuesday but Charleston catcher Eduardo De Oleo came off of the bench to provide the biggest hit of the game to help lead the Yankees to a 5-3 victory.

YMLN - Mateo Mashing
