The Yankees signed outfielder Kelvin De Leon for $1.1 million out of the Dominican Republic as part of their 'July 2nd' signing group in 2007. Considered a five-tool talent by many scouts, his game was a bit too raw to make his United States debut this past season and he began his career slugging his way through the Dominican Summer League.
