The Yankees have signed Cuban slugging first baseman Juan Miranda, who defected from Cuba over a year and a half ago, as an International free agent and he got his first taste of organizational baseball in the Dominican Republic at Yankee Instructs while his paperwork was getting in order to come over to the United States to take his physical and make the deal official.
