The Yankees signed 5th year senior Phil Bartleski, a towering right-handed pitcher from Oklahoma City University, to a free agent deal. Once considered a top pitching prospect, he had Tommy John surgery before going 10-1 with a 3.29 ERA with 76 strikeouts in 82 innings this past season.
