The 2007 season started normally for relief pitcher T.J. Beam. The four-year veteran began the year in Triple-A Scranton, hoping that he would duplicate the season he had in ’06 that saw him rise from Double-A to the Major League roster by the end of the season. This season, a month went by and Beam was pressing away in the Scranton bullpen. Then, something strange happened.
