A year ago Daniel McCutchen was battling at Class A Tampa, attempting to comprehend how his reliable curveball had become an inconsistent enigma. The righthander believed the loss of his out-pitch had become a mental issue and upon being promoted to Trenton, McCutchen soon recaptured the command of his breaking ball.
