Coming off an impressive debut last year, Charleston Riverdogs starter Jairo Heredia has posted a 2.17 ERA in nine starts. Calm and composed, he is quickly proving his great numbers with the Gulf Coast League Yankees last year were not leading to a sophomore slump. In the 2007 season, Heredia posted a 2-2 record with a 2.72 ERA walking eleven and striking out fifty-two in eleven starts.
