When David Adams was drafted in the third round by the Yankees, the 21-year-old let everyone who would listen know that he was eager to sign a contract and get his career started right away. Perhaps it was the excitement of being drafted by the Yankees, but more likely it was his eagerness to prove himself after a disappointing 2008 campaign.
