Signed out of Mexico because of his amazing defensive ability, Ramiro Pena reached the Double-A level at the tender age of 19 in his first professional season back in 2005. He missed significant portions of the next two seasons with injuries, however, hurting his offensive development, but he still managed to nab a spot in Futures Game this season as his offensive game started developing.
