Austin Krum is hoping to avoid another slow start

Austin Krum, the Tampa Yankees centerfielder and leadoff hitter, will be asked to be the team’s catalyst in 2009. In his first full professional season with class-A Charleston last year, he hit .272 with eight home runs, 67 RBI, and 12 stolen bases, a major jump from his short 2007 stint with the Staten Island Yankees that saw his batting average slip to .238.
