TAMPA, FL - There weren't too many positives to be pulled out of an 11-0 shellacking at the hands of the Pirates on the final day of Instructs, but Gabe Encinas was one who stood out among the Yankees prospects.

Gabe Encinas, sitting mostly 92-93 mph, was one of the few bright spots on Friday. He struck out two batters and walked one in two scoreless innings, and showed a very, very good curveball in the process.
