YMLN - Cote Ends On High Note

TAMPA, FL - Like it has all week long, pitching was the name of the game for the Yankees on the final day of Instructs on Friday. Quite a few pitchers stood out in the split-squad games against the Pirates, but nobody more so than right-hander Jordan Cote.

Jordan Cote was flat-out dominating on the final day of Instructs, tossing three scoreless innings in a game won 6-0 by the Yankees. Sitting mostly 90 mph with a heavy fastball, the Pirates' hitters could not catch up to him. He allowed just one hit, walked none, and struck out five batters -- all in a row!
