Maher Already Progressing

Maher has changed his secondary pitches

Even though 38th round pick Joey Maher signed too late to see any official minor league action this past season, the right-handed pitcher has already made significant progress to his game during his unofficial debut at Instructs and he hopes to keep that going at Dominican Instructs over the next two weeks.

"I thought it was great," Maher said of Instructs. "They've got kids from all different levels so it's good competition and every day I learned something new. "[The Yankees are] kind of perfectionists when it comes to doing everything right and I like that.
