Montgomery Working On Other Aspects

TAMPA, FL - Mark Montgomery has taken the role of closer within the Yankee's minor league organization and has worked hard to keep it. After posting 15 saves with an ERA of just 1.91 between Staten Island and Charleston last season, Montgomery looked ready to be an everyday closer and so far this season he has not disappointed.

On Tuesday night, Montgomery came into the game in the top of the 9th of a 1-1 game and gave up just one single while looking dominant and keeping the game tied before his team won the game on a walk-off single in the bottom the inning.
