CHARLESTON, SC – Jose Campos is an often overlooked acquisition in the trade between the New York Yankees and the Seattle Mariners that brought Michael Pineda to the Yankees. Only 19 and already touching 95 with his fastball, Campos' is quickly becoming a highly regarded prospect this year with the Charleston Riverdogs. Considering his potential, the Yankees have quite an asset on their hands.

"He's a very young kid, he's only 19 but he knows what he's doing on the mound," Charleston manager Carlos Mendoza said. "He knows how to pitch. He knows how to mix up his pitches and keep hitters off balance, but at the same time he uses his fastball which hits 94 and he's very impressive."
