Sanchez has 17 RBIs in his last 10 games

In addition to being one of several RiverDogs named to the South Atlantic League All-Star team, catcher Gary Sanchez also received the South Atlantic League Player of the Week Award during his stellar past ten games. After struggling to hit home runs at the beginning of the season, that doesn't seem to be a problem anymore.

"He's been hitting the ball hard all year and now he's just starting to get some up in the air," hitting coach Greg Colbrunn said. The 6-foot-2 catcher is hitting .303 in 2012 and has ten home runs, five of which have come in the last 10 games.
