Heathcott Game Ready

Heathcott tested the knee on Saturday

TAMPA, FL - Outfielder Slade Heathcott had been turning some heads in big league camp with his tools and physical style of play. However, a couple of nagging injuries, including one to his knee most recently, put him on the shelf. He's back at the minor league complex rehabbing and testing the knee, and he says he's game ready.

"I actually ran outside [on Friday] doing some short bursts and then stops," he said. "[Saturday] was running the bases. I didn't feel anything. "I was a little worried about the slowing down more than anything. I didn't feel anything slowing down and I went full-go. I didn't feel any tightness or weakness, anything really."
