Encinas Ready To Go

Right-hander Gabe Encinas was in the midst of a special breakout season this year with the Charleston RiverDogs before succumbing to Tommy John surgery after just seven starts. He's back in Tampa now though, ready to start his throwing program, and he says he's ready to go.

"I start throwing this week," Encinas revealed. "I had been rehabbing back home in California and now I'm out here at Instructs so we'll start throwing here this next week. "I can't wait to see how it feels. There's a little bit of nervousness but some excitement at the same time. We'll see how everything goes."
