Q&A with Danny Borrell

We sat down with Charleston RiverDogs pitching coach Danny Borrell for a Q&A session to get his thoughts on what kind of stuff he saw from Luis Severino, just how good could Rookie Davis be, what he thinks of the likes of Gabe Encinas and Jose Campos, his initial thoughts on Ian Clarkin after working with him at Instructs, and much, much more. Let's talk about Luis Severino first -- what were your impressions of him this season? Danny Borrell: Frontline stuff, he really does. He'll be anywhere from 92-97 mph and he'll fill the zone up with that fastball. He'll get swings and misses in the zone. He spins a really good, tight slider.
