Clippard Focused On Winning In Scranton

Clippard got off to a solid start on Thursday

Tyler Clippard, making his debut for the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees and in Triple-A on Thursday, threw five solid innings in a 7-5 Scranton/Wilkes-Barre loss. His first appearance came on a night in which the cold weather played a major part in the ballgame. Clippard, however, didn't seem to be bothered by the cold.

"The cold didn't have too much effect on me," Tyler Clippard admitted after Thurdsday's game. "Once you get your body warmed up you're pretty much the warmest guy out there." "The only thing is it's sometimes hard to get a grip on the ball when it's cold out. I tried to get my body warmed up inside, but like I said, once my body got going, I was fine."
