Vechionacci Still On The Mend

It was just another simple bunt situation for third baseman Marcos Vechionacci three weeks ago against the Clearwater Threshers. But an inside pitch from Clearwater pitcher William Savage clipped the finger of Vechionacci and nearly a month later he remains unable to play.

Despite the setback, Vechionacci remains upbeat and expects to return within the next week. "It was a difficult situation, but I started hitting again today [Monday]," Marcos Vechionacci said.
