Jesus Montero might be receiving all the accolades right now from the Gulf Coast League Yankees team, but internally, the bigger buzz might just be about the rapid development of Jairo Heredia. Posting a 2.72 ERA in eleven games and nearly a five to one strikeout-to-walk ratio, Heredia says his main goal for Instructs is developing that consistent third pitch.

"I felt very good about my year," Jairo Heredia said through the help Manny Barreda translating. "My curveball was working very well for me. I didn't really over-use it in games. I just focused working on it in the bullpens and then worked it into games. That's what I focused on. I attribute it to not having a tired arm."
