Ramon Flores endured a lot in his first year

Ramon Flores was considered one of the Yankees top International free agents a year ago but it wasn't a great statistical first year for him in 2009. He hit just .196 with no home runs for the Gulf Coast League Yankees, but as he points out, there was some serious adjusting going on in his debut season.

"I didn't feel good about my season this year because I was trying to get used to the [United States], getting accustomed to the cultural differences," Ramon Flores said through the help of a translator.
