The New York Yankees selected outfielder Slade Heathcott in the first round of the 2009 MLB out of Texas High School in Texas. An elite athlete who was also a standout football player and baseball pitcher, the Yankees signed him for $2.2 million and he is already one of the best-five tool prospects in the organization.
