Brackman was throwing strikes on Thursday

CLEARWATER, FL - It was a completely different Andrew Brackman on the mound for the Tampa Yankees in Thursday's 9-3 win over the Phillies. And while he didn't propel them to a victory, Slade Heathcott was doubling his pleasure in Charleston's 5-3 loss on the other field.

Andrew Brackman wasn't throwing very hard on Thursday, sitting mostly 89-91 mph, but it didn't appear he was trying to either. In almost soft-toss fashion, he effortlessly cruised through 4 2/3 scoreless innings where he surrendered just one walk and one hit while striking out four batters.
